Before we begin our 1:1 sessions, we arrange a free 30 minute get to know you visit. One of our team will come to your family home to meet you and your loved one, giving us the opportunity to build rapport, understand routines, and gather key information. Following this visit, we create an individual safety and support plan, covering interests, needs, preferences, and any important details that help us provide the best possible experience.
All sessions are planned in advance and tailored specifically to your loved one’s needs and interests. This ensures each session is fun, positive, and predictable, with no surprises on the day.
Sessions may include activities such as crafts, visits to local attractions, trips to the cinema or zoo, taking part in sports, or something as simple as enjoying an ice cream at their favourite park.
Transport
Transport to and from activities can be provided by car or public transport, depending on your preference and what works best for your loved one. All vehicles are regularly cleaned, well maintained, and able to accommodate car seats where required. To reduce stress for caregivers, we recommend sessions start and end at the family home, removing the need to travel to a meeting point.
Risk assessments
A risk assessment is completed for everyone who uses our services. This allows us to understand individual needs, recognise triggers, and agree on supportive approaches if a situation becomes overwhelming. It also ensures we are fully aware of any medical conditions, allergies, or other essential information, so your loved one’s safety and wellbeing always come first.
