Activity Ideas

This incredible drawing was by myself (coloured) and lovely young lady (pencil) I have spent the last year working with in a school setting. I am continuing to work with her through respite4you to help build her independence and confidence, as well as allowing mum and dad to take some guilt free time to themselves.

Local Attractions

Another set of places that people really enjoy visiting includes some fantastic attractions like the Bristol Zoo Project (formerly known as Bristol Zoo and the Wild Place), Airhop, or the Avon Valley Adventure and Wildlife Park.

Further afield

We can always think about heading a bit farther out for a change of scenery. Maybe a trip to Weston Beach, the pier, or Cheddar sounds intriguing? Feel free to send me a message so we can chat about any ideas and figure out plans that work for everyone

Trips to local parks

If your loved one enjoys the great outdoors and has a special spot they love, we can head over there for some fun and games. Maybe a game of football, catch, or even one they've made up themselves? Some of my top spots to visit include Vassels Park, Snuff Mills, or Blaise Castle. These places are perfect for exploring among the trees and enjoying some time on the swings.

Alternatively, we can check out the pop-up sand pits around Bristol or have a picnic while visiting the ducks. The options are wide open for a great outdoor adventure! πŸŒ³πŸ¦†πŸŒž

Local Activities

Perhaps there's a local group, like the Razmataz dance class, that your loved one is curious about but might need a little help when joining. We can look into setting something up with the group to make it easier.

Another cool idea is to hit up the local leisure center for a game of badminton or tennis. It's a fun way for your loved one to spend a morning or afternoon doing something they really enjoy. 🏸🎾

Teaching Independence

An important part of our work and sessions together is to help develop your loved ones independence where possible. That could mean things like letting them read the bus timetable, helping them order tickets, or even just planning our next session together. This way, they can start to develop these new skills.
